Data protection and processing personal data at Geometrix

At Geometrix, we comply with the Data Protection Act in the collection and processing of personal data. In this document, we describe the data we collect and how we use it.

Purpose of collected data

We use Google Analytics for collecting the information listed above. We use the data we collect to analyze visitor data that helps us improve our website and marketing.

Newsletter subscribers and processing of personal data

By subscribing to the newsletter on our website, you provide Geometrix with the following information:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address

We use MailChimp for sending newsletters. The subscriber can opt out of receiving newsletters at any time.

How to send a contact request and data we collect

Through the contact request form on our website, we collect essential personal data necessary for communication such as the name and email address of the sender. The sender may add their company details and phone number to the form.

Personal data collected from outside the geometrix.fi website

In addition to data collected on our website, Geometrix processes personal data in the following situations:

  • Storing personal data based on customer relationship
  • Newsletter
  • Customer satisfaction surveys
  • As part of the Customer agreement, we process personal data that is relevant to the customer relationship. We also communicate with our customers through a newsletter and monitor customer relationship management and service levels by conducting customer satisfaction surveys. The recipient can opt out of receiving newsletters and customer surveys at any time.
  • Geometrix mobile and web application
  • User register of the Mobilenote applications and services.
  • For providing the service, the user information of Mobilenote applications and services are stored according to the Service agreement signed with the customer.

Collected information includes:

User account data:

  • Username
  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address

Automatically collected information such as activity log, location of user events and user activity information.

Disclosure of data:

The data is not disclosed to outsiders except in case of possible statutory authority requests.

Data storage

The data is stored within the EU.

The grounds for using the data is based on the Service agreement between the customer and Geometrix.

Principles of protection:

The data is mainly stored on a server protected from outsiders. Only designated customer or Geometrix administrator users have access to user data.

Data storage and data erasure:

The data will be stored for the duration of the Service agreement. Singular user account data will be erased by the customer as the user account becomes redundant. As the Service agreement ends, all customer and user data will be erased.

User rights

If they wish, the users of our services can check, correct and request the erasure of their personal data.

Verification and rectification of personal data

The user has the right to access the data Geometrix has collected about them. The controller will provide the information and, if necessary, update any changes to the personal data requested by the user.

We store data on the user profiles of registered users (if any). All users have the right to view, edit and erase their personal data at any time. Only the username cannot be changed. Site administrators can view and edit user profile data.

Data erasure

When the grounds for processing your personal data expire, for example when a customer relationship ends or a newsletter subscription is cancelled, we will erase the data from our register. Users of our services also have the right to request the controller to erase their data. However, data cannot be erased immediately if the law requires that it be kept for a certain period of time and that period has not yet expired (for example, Accounting Act).
